Karen Lawrence is a MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Supervisor, Member of ATSAC and ACTO Level 2 Professional Register for online work.

Karen is self-employed in private practice (www.relating2others.co.uk) working in Belfast and Bangor Co. Down and online in the UK and Ireland.

As an integrated therapist of almost 30 years, she specialises in sex and porn addiction, counselling for partners of sex addiction and couples counselling in sex addiction.

Karen begun her training and clinical practice with Relate NI in working with couples and later as a family counsellor.

In 2004 she became qualified as a supervisor in counselling and psychotherapy and offers supervision for counsellors working with sex addiction whether in training or qualified, supervision for private practitioners of couples and individual counselling and counselling agencies in one-to-one practice.

Karen taught the Advanced Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling in Queens University, Belfast for 3 years. She also was employed as the Training Coordinator for Relate NI leading a team of Relate Trainers delivering training to voluntary and private sector organisations.

She is currently two thirds of the way through a one year course in Polyvagal Theory.
