Jonathan is the creator of The Autism Dialogue Approach, a strengths-based method designed to empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals, as well as their families, allies, and the professionals who support them.
The approach draws on a unique synthesis of communication and awareness-raising practices, inspired by physicist David Bohm's Dialogue method, which Jonathan first encountered in 2008. This transformative experience, following decades of spiritual discipline and experience in many divergent contexts, led him to pioneer the first Autism Dialogue sessions, marking the beginning of a movement that has since grown into an international community. He has worked in dialogue and training with the NHS, Anna Freud Centre, Mind and Life Europe, and UBC, and has coached hundreds of individuals in need.
With a passion for variety and creativity, Jonathan works towards better communication and more inclusive environments, where individuals can raise self-awareness and reframe their differences as a launchpad for growth and dynamic integration. His first book, The Autism Dialogue Approach Handbook: Transforming Communication in Neurodiversity (Routledge, 2025), offers practical tools and insights for applying the method, along with its philosophical background, and makes the case for the urgent need for dialogue everywhere. It is a key resource for practitioners and anyone passionate about neurodiversity, communication, and the human condition.
Jonathan is currently writing a book about self-awareness. He lives in England's Peak District and enjoys walking, motorcycling, meditation, and painting.
